The town fountain on Grein's historic town square, also known as the Meaggaubrunnen, dates back to 1872 and was named after Count Leonhard Helfrich Meggau, who owned Greinburg Castle. The citizens of Grein erected a stone monument in the town square to Count Meggau, who was socially committed to the people of Grein.

ARTworkers has set itself the task of creating living theatre. The art of theatre is to touch today's modern society. We love theatre in all its diversity: as a centre for cultural encounters. As a mirror of our society. As an important escape from everyday life. Art opens up thoughts, spaces and feelings, for young and old, with humour or drama. What could be better than turning the venerable old municipal theatre full of history(s) back into an active meeting place for people interested in culture, where modern theatre merges with classical. Let's fill this theatre with applause and laughter again, which it more than deserves.
