How to get to the Almtal (to Grünau im Almtal):
We recommend that you travel by public transport!

by train: from Wels train station with the Almtalbahn (line 153) to Grünau im Almtal;
Numerous connections from Wels station to the main trains on the western line (line 101)
by bus: OÖVV bus line 533 Almsee - Grünau - Gmunden, Grünau im Almtal stop, municipal office

with the Traunstein Taxi Route 60 from Grünau station to the Enzenbach / Bergstrasse Farrenau stop. Min. Call the taxi center 1 hour in advance on 050-422 1691 or order on the otaxi app.

by bike: bike path R11 Almtalradweg from Wels into Almtal to Grünau train station, leave your bike behind and continue on foot.

by foot: From the center or train station Grünau im Almtal you can hike through the center of Grünau and then along the Grünaubach and hiking trail B to the Enzenbachmühle, then over the bridge and left to the In der Lahn / Schindlbach junction and then the W. 440 following

by car:
West motorway A1: Vienna - Voralpenkreuz-A9 - exit Ried / Tr. - Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - Scharnstein - Grünau
West motorway A1: Munich - Salzburg - Regau - Gmunden - Scharnstein - Grünau
Innkreisautobahn A8 Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz A9 Pyhrnautobahn - exit Ried / Tr. - Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - Scharnstein - Grünau
From the center of Grünau, follow the signs to the Kasberg ski area, parking lot below (approx. 5km).

For the return trip we recommend:
By train: from the train station Steyrling straight back to Linz main station
or back to Grünau im Almtal: by train to Kirchdorf and then by bus line 480 to Scharnstein (stop Ortsmitte), then by bus line 533 to Grünau im Almtal to the train station
