The tour begins at "Water-Experience Mini Danube". Head along Stiftstraße Road to the Danube, left along the Danube-Trail, past "Danube-Square" and at the high-water tree to the ferry building. From here, a Danube path leads to Fallauerbach stream, past the outdoor pool, to the Roman milestone and Jochenstein Danube powerplant. (Tip: exhibition "Energy Experience Jochenstein" and "House by the Stream"). Then it`s uphill on the Austrian side, past Restaurant Bernhard`s and into the forest. After some 500 m continue left on the forest trail. Down Fallaustraße Road to the left, turn right into Siedlungsstraße Road, continue to "Schütz-Museum Engelhartszell". Then through the market road by the Imperial toll house to the exhibition "Danube stories" with Infopoint Natura 2000 and adventure playground "Danube-play".
Along Nibelungenstraße Road, past the “blacksmiths museum” to Stiftsstraße, to Engelszell Abbey and to the “Water-Experience Mini-Danube” with the garden of the senses and Max-Aquarium "Giant of the Danube".
Tip:
Oppsosite the ferry building on the northern Danube side is the south-western most point to which Soviet troops ever advanced. Here the "Donaunixe ISA" ferry takes cyclists and hikers across the river.
