The path leads directly through the Bärnloch landscape area. It runs partly on the German side and partly on the Austrian side of the Osterbach.
Starting from the border crossing to Germany, the hiking trail runs along the Osterbach directly through the idyllic Bärnloch landscape area. The first part of the route is on the German side of the border stream before crossing it at about halfway and then hiking back on the Austrian side to Oberkappel.
Safety guidelines:The last third runs along a busy asphalt road without a path or sidewalk; it can be dangerous in the curves.
