The Valerieweg is an alpine trail. It originally ran from the forestry office to Langbathsee and was reserved for forest staff. Today this path is an important connection between the Forstamt bouldering area, Auboden, the Hochleckenweg 823 and the Taferlhöhe or Taferlklaussee. It can also be reached via the connection path 6a from the Haslach forest road.
The trail was named after Archduchess Valerie, the daughter of Emperor Franz Joseph.
Note:
This Valerieweg is not the same as the Valerieweg that runs alongside the Burggrabenklamm gorge from Burgau to Eisenau.
