Valerieweg

The Valerieweg is an alpine trail. It originally ran from the forestry office to Langbathsee and was reserved for forest staff. Today this path is an important connection between the Forstamt bouldering area, Auboden, the Hochleckenweg 823 and the Taferlhöhe or Taferlklaussee. It can also be reached via the connection path 6a from the Haslach forest road.

The path runs for a good 11 km across the municipality, mostly on forest and forest paths, in more mountainous terrain, past the Adlerspitzen and a narrow climb down towards Taferlklaussee.

This trail was named after Emperor Franz Josef's daughter, Archduchess Valerie.
This Valerieweg is NOT the same as the one that leads from Burgau to Eisenau next to the Burggrabenklamm.
