The Neukirchner Spieleweg is a leisurely hike partly on low-traffic roads and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity of Neukirchen an der Vöckla.
The pure walking time can be estimated at 1 1/4 hours. Depending on where you stop at the playgrounds and resting benches, the hike may take longer. The locations of the play stations are equipped with information boards indicating the distances to the next point.
Human life is often characterised by wrong turns and it is not always easy to find the right path for you. It is therefore important to set yourself goals that you want to achieve. How you reach these goals depends on the path you take. The Neukirchner Spieleweg is intended to outline these circumstances in human life and provide recreation, fun and exercise.
The games trail starts in the village of Weyr near the sports field. Of course, you can also leave from the municipal office, for example, where there is an information station.
Right at the start of the games trail, to the east, is the Weyr-Welsern wetland area, which covers approx. 2.7 hectares and has been designated a nature reserve. An adventurous mule track (NOT a maintained hiking trail) leads around the outside.
Then comes the first labyrinth: the self-build labyrinth, which can be designed in different ways. From there, the play trail leads along the Weyrbach stream in the direction of Wimm. At the end of the sports field is the snow pole labyrinth. At the western end of the village of Weyr, you cross the road to reach the slide labyrinth. Continue along the "Lippenholz" to the Hubertus Chapel. There are several sunny or shady benches along the path through the forest. From the Hubertus Chapel, the route continues to the road to Pollahmmeredt. This road now leads to the centre of Neukirchen an der Vöckla, where the public playground is located next to the Obra-Kinderland.
