Directions:
The stage BergeSeen 10 starts at the tourist office in Steinbach am Attersee. Straight at the beginning the trail leads us 100 m upwards. Then in the village we turn to the right and take the Lehenweg by crossing the street L544 Grossalmstraße and leaving it to the right. Passing old farmsteads we cross the Dürrenbach and take the Dorfweg for 1,2 km until Haslach. There we turn to the left to the B152 (471 alt, km 1,8) always following the signs S800.

Now we follow the B152 along the lake in direction to Weißenbach and further to Unterach, where we take after 4,4 km the cycle path. After 1,4 km we cross the B152 and turn to a forest road, which leads left upwards (484 alt, km ,8) in direction to Eisenaualm/Schwarzensee.

Along the creek Lasseralmbach we follow the signs S800. After about 3,6 km a wonderful view to the Attersee is waiting for us (795 alt, km 10,6). Passing the Moosalm we reach after about 700 m a crossroad. Here there is the possibility to turn to the left (771 alt, km 11,4) to the Schwarzensee. Or we turn to the right in direction to the gorge. We leave the bikes, lock them and visit the Burgauklamm from up.

The original tour carries on upwards on a forest road. After about 3,7 km we reach the area of a mountain pasture and 1,2 km further the highest point of the stage in 1016 m. The Buchberghütte at our right (1009 alt, km 16,3) gives us a nice opportunity for a break with nice refreshments and typical snacks especially for bikers.

Otherwise now the route leads us downwards in direction to Mondsee. After 1,5 km we reach a point with a breathtaking panoramic view (889 alt, km 17,8) over the Mondsee in direction to Salzburg and the Thalgauberg, which we passed on our first stage. Another great view is given to the Drachenwand and the Eglsee before the forest roads ends after 5 km. We turn to the right on the main road B154, which we leave already after 600 m to the right in direction to Unterach.

After 700 m we take the cycle path at the Kienbergwand, go 1,2 km through a tunnel unitl Kreuzstein (481 alt, km 25,3). The cycle path ends here and we carry on along the Mondsee on the Oberburgaustraße until its end, which we reach after 2,3 km. At the bridge a view to the over Mondsee with the Drachenwand is waiting for us. One of the most beautiful places to enjoy a sunset. After the bridge we follow the cycle path 3,2 km in direction to Unterach am Attersee (470 alt, km 30,9). On the cycle path we go 8,5 km to Nußdorf am Attersee. After Dexelbach we turn after a public beach up to the left and leave the cycle path by the first chance to the left (489 alt, km 39,4), We follow the signs S800 the serpentines 900 m upwards to the Limbergstraße (566 alt, km 40,3). Here we turn left to the Limbergstraße. After 1,4 km we turn to the left and after a left-hand bend 400 m later again to the right in direction to Dachsteinblick (768 alt, km 42,8), which we reach after 800 m on a tarmac road.

From then on we go through the forest. A forest road leads us to Oberwang (574 alt, km 51,6), where we arrive after about 8,8 km.

After 2,6 km we turn at Riedschwandt (662 alt, km 53,7) to the left into one of the biggest forest areas from Upper Austria. We follow the forest road in direction to Kulmspitze and Radstatt.

Below the Mondseeberg we get via the Tiefgraben after about 8,5 km out of the forest. There we follow the Mondseebergweg until Egg and turn then to the left (784 alt, km 62,4) in direction to Mondsee. After 4,2 km upwards on a tarmac road we get to our final destination and the end of the stage.

Tip:
A detour to the Schwarzensee and/or to the Burgauklamm are recommended. Also a delightful bath in the lake at the Kreuzstein and a stop at the Dachsteinblick will contribute passing in review the experiences of the last days.

Safety guidelines:
For a successful, accident free and exciting day you will find tips for planning before the tour here.

Equipment:
Please note that any MTB tours can always be done with proper equipment.

Here our recommendation for tour preparation and equipment.

Additional information:
As new figures on the playing field of mountain and recreational sportsmen, we E-MTB riders have a special responsibility to behave appropriately.

In Graubünden bikers and hikers share the paths. A project that should set a precedent. But this can only be done with mutual respect. Black sheep throw us back years.

With common rules of play, we ensure that the forest will continue to provide a unique recreational and living space as well as jobs for everyone in the future.
