Wanderweg zur Hochsteinalm von Langbathtal aus

From the Langbathtal valley to the beautiful alpine pastures of the Hochsteinalm

Start at the Hochsteinalm car park, around 5 km north-west of Ebensee. Take the "Falmbachsteig" to the alpine pasture (sure-footedness is required for the last part of the hike). Walking time around 1 hour.
Alternative routes:
- Descent via the same route
- Descent to Traunkirchen via the Mühlbachtal valley to Traunkirchen railway station
- Circular hike on the forest road in the direction of Windlegern, after approx. 20 minutes on foot, path 839 branches off to the left to Gasthof Kreh and from there approx. 15 minutes back to the starting point
