The two sides of the Alm
By bike from Vorchdorf via Steinerkirchen to Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting and back!

Easy cycle route starting in the centre of Vorchdorf, then in the direction of Mühltal, left to the Alm and following it to the junction from the road over the Penninger Steg to the left bank of the Alm. After the footbridge, turn right onto the gravel path. Please be considerate of the hikers, push if necessary! Along the Alm to the Almeggbrücke bridge, then left towards the market square in Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting. Straight across the market square, down the S-bend and turn right into Moorbadstraße, then left into Gänsenau. Continue in the direction of Moorbad and turn left about 100 metres before it. In Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting there are numerous opportunities to take a break and enjoy good food and refreshing drinks. Follow the road past the Berger cider tavern. Turn left at the next junction and then immediately turn right again and follow the road. With the Traunstein in view, you pass through the villages of Dorfham and Kößlwang and follow the road over the railway crossing - PLEASE BE CAREFUL! - and then come to the main road to Vorchdorf (or Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting). Here you turn right into the cycle lane as far as Feldham.
Get off your bike if necessary. After Feldham, keep slightly to the right and follow the road. Stay on the cycle and footpath at the roundabout. Please pay attention to the exits. Then turn right under the motorway and straight on into the centre of Vorchdorf.
