Postalm / Circular route 1 / Moosbergalm

Easy and particularly scenic hike on paved alpine paths.

From car park 1, walk 300 m along the road towards Strobl until you reach a bridge. Now turn right and after 1 km you come to a sharp right-hand bend on an alpine road. Continue straight ahead through the forest and across alpine meadows until you reach another alpine road near the Rettenegghütte mountain hut. Turn right here and you will soon come to a signpost. Continue left here on a wide alpine path to the memorial cross on the Moosbergsattel (beautiful view of the Tennengebirge). Now turn right over to the beautifully situated huts of the Moosbergalm, then the path leads downhill to the Abtenau Postalm road, which you follow for a very short distance to the right. Continue left downhill to the alpine meadows of the Äußere Lienbachalm, from where you reach the Innerlienbachalm on a flat uphill forest road (fork in the path). Here you hike flat to the right to the Rosserhütte (catered) and on the meadow path you return to the starting point.
