A tour at the foot of the Traunstein and directly on the beautiful lake Traunsee.

The starting point for this tour is the "Unterm Stein" parking lot at the end of Traunsteinstrasse. Starting from the parking lot, you either follow the forest road in Lainautal or walk directly along the picturesque eastern bank of the Traunsee.

Two unlit tunnels lead to the Lainau valley and the Lainau bridge. The entrance to the Naturfreundsteig on the Traunstein is located directly after the tunnel on the left. Immediately after the Lainau bridge, the Miesweg begins, which leads directly down to the lake, where you come to a small rocky bay. When it rains a lot or when the snow melts, you can also marvel at a waterfall.

Well secured, the path leads over wooden walkways and rock paths directly along and across the lake.
It is a wonderful walk through this wild landscape on the Traunsee. Right at the first tunnel you come back to the forest road and past the Moaristidl snack bar, the starting point.
