Weyregger Wasser Roas Weg - the path leads from water to water!
An ideal walking and hiking trail for families with children!
The stamp house for the adventure hiking fun is located at the sea alpacas!
Get inspired now and try out the 360° Perspectives Tour!
This adventure trail is one of the seven adventure hiking trails included in the Adventure Hiking Pass. Children can collect stamps along the way and exchange small gifts in the information offices of the holiday region Attersee-Attergau. This will inspire even more children to go hiking.
The Weyregger Wasser Roas leads from the water - to the water.
The children's hike starts at the Weyregg aquarium, past the small liquor store and the chapel of the "Brennerin". Then you walk through the small park, past the Attersee mascots Gustl and Perla to the drinking fountain, which provides wonderfully fresh drinking water in frost-free weather. Cross the street at the zebra crossing and turn right in front of the municipal office, follow the main street for a short stretch and turn left into Römergasse after the Kaisergasthof. Passing the playground next to the "Naturpark" elementary school, continue until Römergasse leads into Wachtbergstraße. Here you turn right and follow Wachtbergstraße until you turn right into Dr. Gleißnerweg turns. Follow this to the shipping pier in Alexenau. The well signposted path leads through several stations and explains a lot about water and other things such as:
How many days does it take for a drop of Attersee water to reach the Black Sea?
Why is the Attersee turquoise blue in summer?
How many plums does it take for a shot of schnapps?
These and other exciting questions about water will amaze interested hikers along the existing Dr. Gleißner path.
You meet the pear bank in the Mostbirnenallee and find out how Helene got to the pear.
At the alpaca enclosure, you can learn how these animals manage to drink water with their mouths closed.
You can return the same way or by boat in the summer months according to the shipping schedule.
You should plan 1.5 hours with small children for the way from the aquarium to the ship landing stage!
