VIA ALM" offers nature, culture, spirituality and gastronomy on six one-day tours. "VIA ALM" leads through three districts - Wels-Land, Gmunden and Kirchdorf. Pilgrimage knows no borders.
They have walked the stages together. The trail leads partly along the alpine pastures, but also through landscapes with heights, depths and expanses, as well as to culture, history, churches and chapels. The fabulous Almtal valley thus always offers pilgrims something to move their hearts and souls.
Stage 1: Almspitzrunde Bad Wimsbach
- Length: 10 km
- Duration: 3 hours (incl. sightseeing)
Stage 2: From Bad Wimsbach to Vorchdorf
- Length: 16 km
- Duration: 6 hours (incl. sightseeing)
Stage 3: From Vorchdorf via
Einsiedling to Pettenbach
- Length: 12 km
- Duration: 4.5 hours (incl. sightseeing)
Stage 4: From Pettenbach via Magdalenaberg and Heiligenleiten to Steinbachbrücke
- Length: 11 km
- Duration: 5 hours (incl. sightseeing)
Stage 5: From Steinbachbrücke via Viechtwang to Scharnstein and
Scharnstein and Grünau im Almtal
- Length: 16 km
- Duration: 5 hours (incl. sightseeing)
Stage 6: From Grünau to "Jaglbrunn" and the Almsee lake
- Length: 13 km, with Almsee circuit 18 km
- Duration: 5 hours (incl. sightseeing)

How to get to the Almtal (to Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting):
We recommend that you travel by public transport!
by train: to Wels station with IC trains on the Westbahn line (ÖBB and Westbahn) (line 101), then change to regional trains in the direction of Attnang-Puchheim to Lambach station. Change to the "Vorchdorfer Bahn" from Stern & Hafferl (line 160) to Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting train station.
For the return trip from Grünau im Almtal with the Almtalbahn (line 153) back to the Welsh train station with connection to the IC trains of the western railway line.
by bus: OÖVV bus line 504 Wels - Lambach - Bad Wimsbach - Roitham
Bus train information
Call the Traunstein Taxi Route 80 from Bad Wimsbach station to Almspitz and for the return tripp vom the lake Almsee to the railway station of Grünau im Almtal Traunstein Taxi Route 60.
For both routes, please call at least 1 hour in advance the telephone number 050-422 1691 or order from the otaxi app.

Autobahn A1 Westautobahn exit 207 exit Vorchdorf at the roundabout - direction Lambach to Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting, approx. 7 km
Federal road B1 to Lambach - to Stadl Paura, there towards Vorchdorf to Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting
