The start and finish point of the tour is the main square in the medieval old town of Freistadt. The cycle tour is only signposted in one direction.

You start the tour at the main square and cycle through the romantic old town and through the Böhmertor gate and past the Frauenteich pond. You cycle along the town moat to the post office, where you turn right towards St. Peter. The route continues below the ski lift towards Schwandter Straße and up to St. Peter, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the town. The route then takes you back to the old town centre of Freistadt via Sonnbergstraße.
