Route description
First you follow the lakeside trail and then walk down to the lake itself. From here the rock faces, situated directly above the shore of the Lake Gosau, are accessed via a Jacob's Ladder. After this first ascent, you make your way through stunning Dachstein chalk scenery to the highest point along the route. Here you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Dachstein and the Gosau glacier. In one big circuit you will reach the rope bridge. Cross the rope bridge and take the via ferrata up to the "Adlerhorst" ("Wandbuch") The trail continues via a ramp back to the start.

Follow the trail around the Lake Gosau. After 15 minutes you will find the entrance.

Motorway exit Golling via B162 Abtenau and B166 to Gosau
from Linz:
Motorway exit Regau on Salzkammergut street B145 towards Gmunden and Bad Ischl to Bad Goisern, in Bad Goisern turn right onto B166, at the Gosaumühle junction turn right towards Gosau
from Vienna/Graz:
Motorway exit Liezen on the B320, in Trautenfels turn on Salzkammergut street B145 to Bad Aussee, turn on Koppen street through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau
from Villach:
Tauern motorway to exit “Eben im Pongau”, via the B166 Pass Gschütt federal road to Gosau

Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue with bus 541/542 in the direction Gosausee
