Climbing area Schafluckenwand

The Schafluckenwand is a demanding climbing area in the Höllengebirge.

Starting at Gasthaus Großalm, the path goes through the forest up to a pass (Lueg, 830 m) between the Hoher Lueg and the Hinterer Signalkogel. This is followed by a short descent and then the idyllically situated Hinterer Langbathsee. Continue along the side of the lake and subsequently pass through the “Schaflucke” (“Sheep Gap”) after which this trail is named, and up to the Schafalm mountain pasture, past the Brunnkogel and the Hochleckenkogel to the Hochleckenhaus.
