Climbing area Grenzeck

Grenzeck is a climbing area near the front Aurachkar in the Höllengebirge.

Characteristic

The Front Aurachkar is limited on his uphill right side of a prominent rock face.

By exposure to east it is already sunny in the morning and shaddy in the early afternoon.
New routes have been created with 10mm bolts and secured well. The climb to the chimneys and intersections is often exhausting, the first pitches are partly overlapping. A 50m double rope is needed for rappelling on the routes .

Access: Duration 45 minutes
From the parking area the trail Taferlklaussee No. 826 will follow the direction Hochleckenhaus. After crossing the tree line, the trail crosses a gravel giant. About 100 meters further up on the right is a huge rock which holds a commemorative plaque. Here branch off from the trail to bottom of the mountain.
