Hiking trail Powang - Neuwegstüberl

This hike leads along a forest road from Powang to Neuwegstüberl and further up the Kronberg to the Kronberg Chapel or to Nußdorf am Attersee.

Bevore the bus stop in "Powang" go left along the street and cross a bridge. Afterwards go right in the direction to "Neuwegstüberl".

Starting point is the bus stop in Powang, from here it goes on the forest road about 1.5 hours straight ahead to Neuwegstüberl.

Here you will find a nice resting place next to a small altar to strengthen and recover before you continue the hike in the direction of Nußdorf or Kronberg.

Car:
From Salzburg via the A1 - exit St. Georgen im Attergau - continue right on the Attergaustrasse L540 towards the centre.
From Vienna/Linz via the A1 - exit St. Georgen im Attergau - continue right on the Attergaustrasse L540 towards the centre of town
From the west - Bad Ischl - Weißenbachtal (B153) - continue on B152 to Unterach - then on B151 to Attersee- continue on L540 to St. Georgen im Attergau

Continue on L540 and then turn left to Straß im Attergau.

By train:
Coming from Salzburg or Linz/Vienna with the "Österreichische Bundesbahnen" or the "Westbahn" to Attnang-Puchheim, continue with the regional train to Vöcklamarkt to St. Georgen im Attergau.

Plane:
Arrival in Salzburg or Linz/Vienna, continue by car/bus or train.
