4a Silent Valley circular route
Starting point: village centre

You leave the village centre via the "Himmel" and walk past the Hinterkirner organic spelt farm. The descent then begins (very idyllic forest path) down to Klingenbergstraße into Thomastal. Now it is only 700 metres along the road to the "Zum Stillen Tal" inn. After a rest and refreshment, continue up the valley along the romantic Schurzmühlbach stream to Hofer (3,470 m). Here, a footbridge leads over the stream and a narrow forest path up to Unterdörfl. Now you hike through open terrain, coming from the north, over the Mariahilfberg back to Bad Kreuzen.
