The rather easy 7.4 km Kriemoos trail is a special experience at 1,000 meters for nature-oriented cross-country skiers.
Both classic skiers and skaters will get their money's worth here.
Starting from the lower park area at the parking lot of the Lesehotel, on the so-called Rehmöser Forststraße, you glide comfortably along the sunny 2.5 km, red-marked trail.
From here, you can enjoy a unique panoramic view of our World Heritage region
After the "Murenschleife" junction - yellow markings - you will reach a moderately steep but easy descent after another 0.5 km.
Once you have mastered this descent, the 2 km long flat section through the unmistakable Kriemoos and "in der Gschwandt" beckons.
Now enjoy the gigantic view of the majestic Dachstein and the surrounding mountains of our World Heritage region.
After a moderately steep ascent of approx. 0.5 km, you are back on the 2 km, slightly hilly route back to the park area.

The Kriemoosrunde starts in the lower park area at the Predigstuhl parking lot.
You can reach this via the 6.5 km toll-free panoramic road to Wurmstein from the traffic circle on the B 145 in Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee.
By car
From Salzburg:
Exit Thalgau via the B158 federal highway towards Bad Ischl, in Bad Ischl take the B145 Salzkammergut road towards Bad Goisern.
From Linz:
Regau highway exit onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 in the direction of Gmunden and Bad Ischl to Bad Goisern.
from Vienna/Graz:
Liezen highway exit onto B320, in Trautenfels turn onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 to Bad Goisern.
from Villach:
Tauernautobahn to exit "Eben im Pongau", via B166 Pass Gschütt Bundesstraße through Gosau, turn left at the Gosaumühle junction towards Bad Goisern.
By train
Attnang-Puchheim - Stainach-Irdning line:
Stops Goisern Jodschwefelbad, Bad Goisern train station, Steeg / Gosau.
By bus
Bus 541 & 542 (Bad Ischl - Lake Gosau):
Stops Bad Goisern Jodschwefelbad, Bad Goisern Kurhotel, Bad Goisern Mitte/B145, Stambach StrKrzg., St. Agatha Agathawirt, Stambach Angerer, Steeg Reitern, Steeg Au, Steeg Bahnhof, Steeg Traunbrücke, Steeg E-Werk.
