Description:
From Museum Railway Steyrtal (parking) over the Steyr bridge and up the hill via Pieslwang. Return 100 m along the same path and then turn left to a chapel and continue through the forest to Ternberger Straße and along the Laurabach back to the village and the starting point.

Directions:
From the Museum Railway Steyrtal (car park), walk over the bridge and turn left towards Pieslwang. At the turnoff to Pension Bichler, walk up the hill through an orchard to the Gsöllhof farm.

Now turn right uphill along the road (approx. 2.5 km). Follow the signs through the next orchard up the hill, at the farmhouse keep to the right along the road to the "Polsterer Kogel - Polsterer Kreuz" vantage point - wonderful panoramic view!


Return 100 m along the same path and then turn left (signposted) to a chapel and continue through the forest to the Ternberger Straße. Turn right along this road for about 100 m, then turn left and walk along the Laurabach stream back into the village and over the bridge to the starting point.



Tip:
No gastronomy along the way, so bring drinks and a snack if needed.

From the west: A1 exit Sattledt > via Kremsmünster > Bad Hall > Steinbach an der Steyr

From the east: A1 exit Haag > Steyr > B140 into the Steyr valley


From the north: A3 Passau > Wels > A9 exit Sattledt > Kremsmünster > Bad Hall > Steinbach


From the south: A9 exit Klaus > into the Steyr valley

The Steyrtal is served by bus lines 452 (Rohr-Bad Hall-Steinbach a. d. Steyr) and 433 (Steyr-Molln-Kirchdorf).
