On alpine pasture and forest paths, follow hiking trail 16 and then continue on a forest path with switchbacks up the mountain to the ridge and to the Grünburger Hut.

Directions:In Rodatal, starting from the Seebachergut parking lot, follow path no. 16 on alpine pasture and forest paths. After about 1 hour, you reach path no. 480. Continue on a forest path with switchbacks up the mountain to the ridge and to the Grünburger Hut.Tip:
Steepest variant, sturdy footwear recommended.

Die Grünburger Hütte ist eine der beliebtesten Hütten im Lande und liegt am Fuße des Hochbuchbergs (1.273 m) im Gemeindegebiet von Steinbach an der Steyr.Sie bietet sowohl im Sommer auch im Winter bei günstigen Wetterbedinungen eine hervorragende Aussicht vom Toten Gebirge bis ins Mühlviertel.

From the west: A1 exit Sattledt > via Kremsmünster > Bad Hall > Steinbach an der Steyr
From the east: A1 exit Haag > Steyr > B140 into the Steyr valley
From the north: A3 Passau > Wels > A9 exit Sattledt > Kremsmünster > Bad Hall > Steinbach
From the south: A9 exit Klaus > into the Steyr valley
Public Transit
The Steyrtal is served by bus lines 452 (Rohr-Bad Hall-Steinbach a. d. Steyr) and 433 (Steyr-Molln-Kirchdorf).
