From the Dorngraben parking lot between Steinbach/Steyr and Molln, you go very idyllically uphill along the Dorngraben stream. After about 1 to 1.5 hours you reach the "Brettmaisalm" (not managed) and then the Grünburger Hut.

Die Grünburger Hütte ist eine der beliebtesten Hütten im Land und liegt am Fuße des Hochbuchbergs (1.273 Meter) im Gemeindegebiet von Steinbach an der Steyr. Sie bietet sowohl im Sommer als auch im Winter bei günstigen Wetterbedingungen eine hervorragende Aussicht vom Toten Gebirge bis ins Mühlviertel. Schlafplätze: 30 im Lager
Getting there
From the west: A1 exit Sattledt > via Kremsmünster > Bad Hall > Steinbach an der Steyr
From the east: A1 exit Haag > Steyr > B140 into the Steyr valley
From the north: A3 Passau > Wels > A9 exit Sattledt > Kremsmünster > Bad Hall > Steinbach
From the south: A9 exit Klaus > into the Steyr valley
Public Transit
The Steyrtal is served by bus lines 452 (Rohr-Bad Hall-Steinbach a. d. Steyr) and 433 (Steyr-Molln-Kirchdorf).
