Paths covering:
Sitting next to the summit cross at the Rinnerkogel, you have a breathtaking view to the biggest karst plateau of the western mountains, which are situated between the Rinnerkogel and the Loser.
From one of the two parking lots at the lake Offensee you walk first of all via a forest road along the lake and further to the end of the valley. The steep track is exhausting and because of this you should plan 2 pauses - the Bergsteigerbund has prevented for this. You reach the first rest area, which is near a big beech tree, via a lot of serpentines and steps made out of wood. Romantic formations of the rock face and impressive cascades can be seen. You walk through a forest and then via a long staircase made of iron, which is secured by tightropes, and then you reach the second rest area, the "Bründl". Then you walk through pine fields and across a dumping to the last steep part of the path. This leads via a staircase to the crossover to the stream Rinnerbach. After a few minutes you reach the hut Rinnerhütte.
You could walk further to the lake Wildensee or to the Rinnerkogel. The lake is situated in a hollow mould. Or you hike to the Rinnerkogel, from which you have a fantastic view to the alpine panorama.
