Kaiserweg (emperor path) - this sounds like a pleasant walk, but in truth it is a glorious hike with very special qualities.
After the comfortable ride with the cable car Feuerkogelseilbahn to the platform, you have to look for the signpostet path to the Helmesgupf. After passing the Heumahdgupf and the Steinkogel, you reach the diversion to the Kaiserweg (number 837) just before the Helmesgupf. This steep track leads through the valley "Gletschtal", from which you can see the valley Trauntal. One obstacle is the approximately 30 m high ridge to the Ofenhöhe (1594 m). This steep track is secured by tightropes. After this short "climbing" you reach the Vordere Spitzalm (Jagdhaus) without problems. The beginning of the path to the valley Trauntal (number 830) meanders in many serpentines through a steep forest. Then you reach a forest street, which leads at the Miesenbachmühle to the old federal B 145. Ebensee can be reached via the train very easily. The next station from this place is at the village Steinkogel.
Hiking-time:
Bergstation - Vordere Spitzlam: approximately 3 hours
Vordere Spitzlam - Miesenbachmühle: approximately 2 hours
