Large circular tour by bike or e-bike around Mondsee and Irrsee.
From the center of Mondsee we cycle past the imposing Basilica Mondsee in the direction of "Schlössl", always along the cycle path number 2. At the commercial area we cross the Mondsee federal road and soon find ourselves in the middle of meadows and fields.
At kilometer eight we reach the shore of the Irrsee, which we now follow to the north. At the Nordmoor nature reserve at the end of the Irrsee, we then turn right and cycle back along the east bank of the Irrsee until we arrive in the village of Zell am Moos. From there we continue until we reach the commercial area of Mondsee at the police station again.
We turn right again and take the same route as before, but we turn right on Vogelsangstraße to the Erlachmühle.
There we drive into the wildly romantic Helenental and now we go along the Zeller Ache back towards Mondsee. At the parking lot at the cemetery, we turn right onto cycle path number two. Along the banks of the Mondsee we turn left at the roundabout and after an avenue of birch trees we come to the village of Schwarzindien.
At the level of the Mondsee golf club, we cross the main road and drive along the supply roads under the striking Drachenwand to the village of Plomberg. Now we continue along the cycle path along the water to Scharfling, where we turn left at the end of the village. After the cyclist tunnel we come to Kreuzstein and from there further to the end of the Mondsee. Continuing along the shore, we turn left at the Hotel Seehof and drive over the so-called Gugelhupfberg. From the bathing area of Innerschwand in the village of Loibihl it is only a short hop back to our starting point in Mondsee.
We wish you a lot of fun on this exciting bike tour!
