Description: Due to a landslide, the B151 (Atterseestraße) in the municipal area of Innerschwand am Mondsee
in the area of km 35.170 to km 35.265 must be completely closed (TOTAL CLOSURE) from 26.05.2026.

Bike tour around the picturesque Mondsee in the Salzkammergut.
From the center of Mondsee we drive towards Schwarzindien (but the direction doesn't really matter!). Initially still on the cycle and pedestrian path next to the main road, after the Eurospar you turn left into a residential area. Shortly thereafter we pass a birch avenue and thus reach Schwarzindien ("Black India"). We leave the settlement behind us and move away from the lake at "Mooshäusl". A little later we cross the main road and get to the "Wagnermühle" riding stables behind which we keep left to ride along the Fuschler Ache to the church of St. Lorenz. Continue to Drachenwand (Gasthof Drachenwand) and then through Gries and on to Scharfling.
Now we drive through the cyclist tunnel to Kreuzstein (cross in the lake) and further along the lake shore to the end of the Mondsee (note: there is no cycle path on this section to the Hotel Seehof in Au and you have to drive on the main road!). At the Seehof we turn left onto the old Mondsee-street. This part of the tour is particularly beautiful! Then it goes on to Loibichl and along the lake shore back to Mondsee.

Strasswalchen (or Oberhofen) train station – 14 km to Mondsee (public bus)
or
Salzburg train station – 30 km to Mondsee (public bus)
by car:
From Germany: Coming from Munich on the A8 in the direction of Salzburg, then on the A1 in the direction of Linz/Vienna. After 30 kilometers, take the Mondsee exit.
From Vienna: drive on the A1 in the direction of Salzburg to the Mondsee exit.
From Italy: take the A10 to Salzburg, there you turn onto the A1 in the direction of Linz/Vienna, after 30 kilometers you take the Mondsee exit.
