The challenging hiking trail leads past the Hotel Lebensquell and Kurhotel up to the Großkogler cider tavern and on into the Naarntal valley. After the Schartmühle (passage between two houses), there is a big climb up to the Schwammerlstein (stone formation worth seeing).
A shady forest path in the middle of the Mühlviertel Nature Park takes you back down into the Naarntal valley to the Raabmühle inn. The way back leads via Zellhof (castle ruins, inn in Zellhof) and over the Baumberg back to Bad Zell.
