The "Moorwanderweg" has a length of approx. 4 km and starts in the village of Ibm.
It leads from the chapel past the information centre and meadows to the Mooskreuz. After a short section in the forest, you walk along the 'Moränenhügel' (moraine hill) on a slightly ascending Seeleiten viewpoint, which offers a magnificent panoramic view over the Seeleiten lake, the Moos and the Salzburg & Bavarian Limestone Alps. After a short walk, you enter the moor with its three types of moor and the many rare and protected plants, as well as the breeding area of the curlew and the habitat of many other bird and animal rarities.
If you feel like it, you can take a healing moor footbath. In the moss hut (rest area) you can find more information about the "moss" as well as old peat-cutting tools. From the viewing plateau you can enjoy a marvellous view of the oldest nature reserve in Upper Austria, the 'Pfeifferanger'. This is a special 'power place'. A renovated post path ensures a safe and dry walk. The route back to Ibm takes you along a road through the centre of the fenland area with its magnificent flowers and numerous orchids.
