From the Hochramskogel snack station in Großgschnaidt, the trail leads along the gravel road, then across a flowery meadow and through the forest to a saddle, always uphill. At the saddle the hiking trail from the Platten joins. Turn left and follow the narrow path under the southern flank of the Lindau wall and turn left up to the summit cross.
If you are sure-footed and free from giddiness, you can walk over the rocky, somewhat exposed ridge to the northeast to Lindauer Berg, 30 minutes away - it also offers a magnificent view.
The way back is the same way.
Trail number: E04, E32
The Lindaumauer is a small but rugged and legendary rock in the north of Weyer and near the Lower Austrian border. The access road to the snack station is near the Kreuzgruberhöhe at the Neustifter Sattel
From the Jausenstation Hochramskogel we follow the ascending gravel road for about 300 meters. Then the path branches off to the left and leads us, becoming steeper, across a colorful flower meadow with numerous medicinal and wild herbs. After a short steep section through the forest, you reach a saddle where the trail from the Platten joins.
To the left, on the narrowing trail, the path passes under the southern flank of the Lindau wall and up to the left to the summit cross. Beforehand, you should pay a visit to the rock cave located just above the path (take a flashlight).
If you are sure-footed and free from giddiness, you can cross the rocky, somewhat exposed ridge to the northeast to Lindauer Berg, 30 minutes away - it also offers a magnificent view.
The way back is the same way.
Variant circular route Lindaumauer:
On the estate road Bretboding after the farmhouse turn left onto the forest road. Slightly uphill on the forest road, the path soon turns into a steep forest trail and you enter a forest meadow, which is not called "fairy tale meadow" for nothing. Keeping to the right at the edge of the forest, you hike gently up and down towards the Lindau wall.
On the southern flank of the Lindau wall, you should pay a visit to the rock cave located just above the path (take a flashlight).
