Over the corne up to Miglberg

This tour takes you up the Miglberg with magnificent views of the Höllengebirge and Lake Attersee.

The starting point of this hike is at the fire station in the centre of Weyregg. You pass the church on your left  as far as the Rosenrundeau and then follow the signs in the direction of Bach-Miglberg. Over the Stegbühel you descend the steps into the Bachtal valley. After crossing the Weyregger Bach stream, follow the yellow signs over the Horn to the Miglberg. The start is right at the Gahberg/ Miglberg/ Bach junction. The first ascent is a little steep but only very short and you can rest on a bench with a wonderful view. Right next to the hiking trail is a show beehive and a sales point for Weber Leidn honey and the associated beehives. Continue along a short, narrow hollow path through a mixed forest before reaching a wide meadow and finally the Miglbergstaße.

 You then hike  to the Gasthof Schöberingerhof where you can fortify yourself on the terrace with a view of the lake and the Höllengebirge mountains.
From there, you have the option of continuing via Schaffling to the Kreuzing Alm or to the Gahberg - or you can take the same route back down into the valley.
