Bramhosenweg

This leisurely circular hike offers beautiful viewpoints of the surrounding mountains and the Attersee and leads through the Kiental along the wild and romantic Kienbach back to the starting point.

The hike along the Bramhosenweg is part of the Ostwanderweg trail and initially leads from Seefeld to Blümigen. The route then follows the well-marked trail uphill to a fork in the trail, which is reached after about an hour.

At this fork, the Bramhosenweg heads right, downhill toward Großalmstraße. Turn right again at the next fork. After a few minutes, you’ll reach the Kienklause. After a break at the inn, the route continues through the wild and romantic Kiental valley on a paved road along the Kienbach stream back to the starting point in Seefeld. The walking time from the Kienklause to Seefeld is about one hour.

A beautiful alternative route is available at the first fork in the trail. The left path leads to the Kamp summit meadow and the Bramhosen at 960 m. For this variant to the Bramhosen summit, you should plan on about an additional half hour. At the top, the trail then continues toward the Kienklause. The optional detour to the slightly lower-lying Kamp summit meadow also extends the hike by about 30 minutes, but is well worth it for the beautiful views.
