Start at the ship landing stage up the hill through the center of the village and continue up till the house mill. Follow the street on left side of the mill, the "Alte Großalmstraße" until you get to Feldbauer farm. From there continue via Berg - Schützing - Zwieselmahd until you get to the Alpine Climbing Club's hiking trail n°824. Shortly after that you will arrive at "Niedere Rast", where you should take the time for a short rest to enjoy the stunning view of the "Adlerspitzen" ("Eagle Summits"). The Adlerspitzen are a true paradise for all climbing enthusiasts (renowned practice crags with climbs graded to suit all levels of ability). The climb will now take you past "Hohe Rast" and Saint Antony's well and lead into the Alpine Climbing Club's trail n°820. From there it is only a stone's throw to Hochleckenhaus. As an option you can climb further up to Brunnkogel (1780 m, with a 14 m high summit cross, the highest in Europe).
