The starting point for this hike is the car park (free of charge!) next to the large children's playground in the centre of Abtsdorf (4864 Attersee, Abtsdorf near house no. 71).
Highlights of the tour are the panoramic views of Lake Attersee, the Höllengebirge mountains and the church of pilgrimage in Abtsdorf to St Laurentius
Take around 1 ½ hours for the almost 5 km hike. The trail leads over forest and meadow paths and short stretches over tarmac.
The tour is very well signposted (please pay attention to the yellow signposts) and marked (red-white-red).
From the playground, follow the yellow signposts "Panoramaweg" in a westerly direction. After approx. 200 metres you will reach a crossroads. There is a small wayside shrine on the left-hand side of the road and you will see the yellow signposts again. Before the crossroads with the main road to Wildenhag, the hiking trail turns left into a passable dirt track. Follow this for approx. 700 metres before you reach a small forest after a beautiful view of the Höllengebirge mountains. In spring, the scent of fresh wild garlic is wonderful here. After another 100 metres or so, you will reach a wooden bridge over the Ackerlingbach stream. Cross the bridge and then immediately turn left, following the forest path towards "Winterleithen". After another 200 metres you will reach a farmhouse and the asphalt road "Winterleithen". Follow this access road for approx. 700 metres and enjoy the particularly beautiful view before you come to a crossroads. There is another signpost at this junction. Keep left, downhill, in the direction of Attersee. You will pass the golf course and after approx. 600 metres you will reach the so-called "Schusterkreuzung". Before the crossroads you will see the signpost and please turn left again onto the footpath and cycle path. Approx. 200 metres later, the path turns off the road to the right into a dirt track. You cannot miss the signpost. However, if you feel like stopping for a bite to eat, you can already see the Gasthaus Kreuzerhof  from the junction. Continue straight ahead along the country lane until you reach a paddock and the village of Erlath. After the paddock, keep left and follow the tarmac road downhill for about 100 metres. At the crossroads, you will see the Panoramaweg signpost again and follow this to the left onto a narrow country lane. A cosy bench invites you to take another short break. Now you can already see the church of Abtsdorf. After the field path, you reach a small settlement before reaching the main road between the villages of Abtsdorf and Oberbach. Follow the pavement next to the road to the left, slightly uphill, before turning left again below the church onto the signposted church path.
A visit to the church of pilgrimage to St Laurentius  is always worthwhile. With a bit of luck, you will find black candles for sale in the church, which the locals light in their homes during severe storms! From the church, it's just a few steps to the children's playground and car park.
Other places to stop off in the village of Abtsdorf:
Gasthof Hemetsberger
Hotel Alpenblick

You start this varied hike at the church in Abtsdorf in Attersee am Attersee. At the children's playground you keep to the right, cross a road a little later and continue straight on until you reach a small shrine, where you turn left.

A forest road now leads across the fields and through a short stretch of forest until you reach Winterleithen and Breitenröth.
At the fork in the road you can take a look at the Schuster Chapel before continuing the hike to our left (downhill). At the cobbler's cross you turn left again. About 300 meters later you leave the asphalt road and walk on a goods road to the right through the meadows and fields to Aufham.

There you turn left at the eastern edge, follow the road for a short distance through the residential area before continuing left again. After a short time you meet a crossing road, which brings you back to Abtsdorf on the left.

Back at the starting point of the parish church in Abtsdorf, it is recommended to take a look inside the church. The late Gothic parish church "Zum Heiligen Laurentius" impresses with a net-ribbed vault. The pulpit as well as the altars are by the Mondsee baroque sculptor Meinrad Guggenbichler.
