At the reservoir Klaus can enjoy the recreational fishing to the fullest.
The reservoir Klaus, about 100ha of water surface and 7km in length, is fairy tale between steep conglomerate walls in the upper Steyr valley and brings u.a. Salmonids with sometimes extraordinary size. Main tributaries are Steyr and Teichl rivers with the best water quality. Food for the salmonids, namely Koppe and minnow, are fortunately present in large quantities. Here you can indulge in fishing in a variety of ways: From the boat or shore, using streamers, wobblers, nymphs or dry fly. In addition to fishing for lake, brook, and rainbow trout, char and grayling, it may be worthwhile to foresee pike or carp.
Fishing time is daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM in May and from June 1 to September 15 daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

A valid fishing license is required for fishing in Upper Austria.
Fishing in Upper Austria must be carried out according to state legal regulations, changes or possible restrictions remain at the discretion of the managers of the individual waters.
