G8 Alberndorf-Unterweitersdorf Runde

Cycle route G8 from Alberndorf via the Peter Affenzeller whisky distillery and café lounge to Unterweitersdorf and back again via Spattendorf

Mostly tarmac, some gravel/field paths
No signposting!

The route starts in Alberndorf. From there, we first head along the L1467 towards Pröselsdorf, where we take the turn-off to Oberweitersdorf. After passing through the village of Loitzendorf, we reach the Peter Affenzeller whisky distillery, where we can enjoy the fantastic view of the Alps from the sun terrace. After refreshments, we continue towards Aich and through Luegstetten, where we meet the horse-drawn railway trail after a section of dirt track. We follow this on a gravel path along the Kleine Gusen to Unterweitersdorf. Before we reach the B125, we turn sharp right and cross the villages of Reitern and Lindach on a long uphill section to reach Spattendorf. There we cross the L1467 and continue over the Ritzelsberg to Rinzendorf and Schlammersdorf, where we finally meet the L1467 again, which leads us back to the starting point.
