Description: Due to forestry work, the forest road between Teufelschüssel (coordinates 48.755803, 13.840114) and the Hufbergkehre (coordinates: 48.763792, 13.839569) will be closed from September 8 through September 18, 2026.
diversion information: After the P1 parking lot, please follow the Steinweg farm road to the turnaround parking lot for emergency vehicles.
From this turnaround area for emergency vehicles (coordinates: 48.757010, 13.827640), the hiking trail begins on the right-hand side, heading uphill. From here, follow the signs toward Steineres Meer, Dreiländereck, Plöckenstein, and the other signposted hiking destinations.
Please observe the road closures and follow only the signposted detour.

Yellow: Hike to the Teufelsschüssel and back is possible.
Brown: Hiking to all hiking destinations is possible.
Stage: Schwarzenberg - Holzschlag, 21 km
Attention: You should wear good shoes - hiking poles are also highly recommended! This is a challenging stage!The steepest ascent awaits hikers on this stage, but also the most beautiful view over the three countries of Austria, Bavaria and the Czech Republic. Across the border triangle you reach the highest point in the Bohemian Forest, the 1379 m high Plöckenstein. If you are not afraid of the detour across the border, you will be rewarded with a view of the Plöckensteinersee lake and the original Adalbert Stifter monument. The descent after the Plöckenstein is difficult. The route then continues for another 3.4 km on a forest road to the stage destination of Holzschlag.
