E-bike pleasure tour in 7 daily stages with approx. 460 km and approx. 5,000 m altitude difference
The route is well marked, mostly along state cycling paths along rivers and waters from the Steyr valley via the Kremstal and Almtal to Gmunden, further on the transition to the Alpine foothills to Bad Hall, via Wolfern and Steyr to the Ennstal and over the Reichraminger Hintergebirge into the Pyhrn-Priel region and back to Steyr.
Stage 7 / Additional stage
From Windischgarsten, cycle via Edlbach to Spital am Pyhrn (R31), from the center of Spital am Pyhrn follow the R31 towards St. Pankraz; at the former Schlagedl inn, turn left and follow the R311 (Pyhrn-Priel Panorama) towards Gleinkersee. Via Vorderstoder you reach the World Cup venue Hinterstoder. From here you ride to Baumschlagerreith at the valley end and on the return journey you can visit the most beautiful place in Austria, the Schiederweiher (detour on foot).
It is best to spend another night here and enjoy the many leisure activities in Hinterstoder, as there is plenty to do in spring, summer, and autumn! The next day, it is about 75 km back to Steyr.
