Short description:

E-bike pleasure tour in 7 daily stages with approx. 460 km and approx. 5,000 m altitude difference
The route is well marked and mostly follows state bicycle paths along rivers and waters from the Steyr Valley via the Kremstal and Almtal to Gmunden, further at the transition to the Alpine foothills to Bad Hall, via Wolfern and Steyr into the Enns Valley and over the Reichraminger Hintergebirge into the Pyhrn-Priel region and back to Steyr.

Directions:

Stage 4 


From the center of Bad Hall via Guntherstraße through rural landscapes to Großmengersdorf, Droißendorf and Niederbrunnern. Now cycle along the Über-Drüber country tour to Wolfern and Gleink. From here it goes further towards the Enns river and on the Enns cycle path R 7 upstream into the Upper Austria Enns valley via Losenstein to Reichraming or Großraming.

Numerous qualified and marked "Bett+Bike" establishments offer special overnight accommodations here with tools for minor repairs, lockable bicycle rooms as well as sufficient information material on the topic of cycling in the Traunviertel cycling region.


Bike Shuttle Bus


You can also easily cover the route between Steyr and Spital am Pyhrn with the bike shuttle bus! This way, you can especially enjoy the sights along the route in a leisurely manner – and there is also enough time for one or the other cultural or culinary detour. The bike shuttle runs from the end of May to the end of October on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (mornings). Current departure times and stops can be found on www.steyr-nationalpark.at. Note: This service must be booked in advance via the website!


Nostalgia insider tip!


Take a ride on a section of the Steyr Valley cycle path R 8 (20 km) from Grünburg to Steyr on the Steyr Valley Museum Railway! The old steam locomotive runs on weekends from May to October – bike transport is free!


E-bike rental


You can rent e-bikes in Steyr, Grünburg, Windischgarsten, Spital/Pyhrn, Hinterstoder, Roßleithen, Bad Hall, Grünau, and Gmunden. Further information is available from your "Bett+Bike" establishments and our guest advisors at the tourism information offices, who will also gladly share some "secret spots" and assist you with advice and support.
