The route in Upper Austria is exactly 198.5 kilometres long and runs from Mondsee along Lake Wolfgangsee via Bad Ischl to Lake Attersee and on to Altmünster on Lake Traunsee. It continues through the foothills of the Alps to Stadl-Paura in a north-easterly direction to Bad Hall and the stage finish in Steyr.
