Tollet

Tollet, Oberösterreich, Österreich
Tollet. A tiny village with a grand landmark. Embedded in the gently rolling foothills of Hausruck Area.
The picturesque village of Tollet has its name derived from a lovely Renaissance Castle of the same name. Tollet Castle occupies a fantastic hilltop position high above scenic Trattnach Valley. In 1980 the Castle was transformed into the District´s Local Heritage Museum and is also home to the Provincial Bee & Wheels Museum. What´s more, the elegant amenities are used for a variety of cultural events. From the Castle´s tower there are uninterrupted panoramic views of the scenic Trattnach Valley and beyond.

Explore a place of wonder and discovery: Take in the area´s diverse mixture of gently rolling foothills, woodland and wetland, sprawling along the banks of the Trattnach River. There are great riverside trails for hiking and cycling that put you close to the fine flora and fauna of Hausruck Area. A local attraction that is worth seeing is St Ulrich´s Church that has seen turbulent times in its 600 years of existence.

When it comes to time to play, Tollet has a huge area complete with adventurous playgrounds and a soccer field for outdoor enjoyment. Little and big ones alike will have the time of their lives romping about the fine recreational grounds!
