The world-renowned artist regularly spent the summer months between 1900 and 1916 in this region. It was here on the Attersee that he created the vast majority of his over 50 known landscapes, which still delight art enthusiasts all over the world.

A visit to the Klimt Center, a walk along the Klimt Artist Trail or a boat ride on the Attersee will allow you to retrace Klimt’s steps and explore his impressive motifs on land or from the lake.

Outside the opening hours, the visit is possible for groups of 10 or more and individual guests of 4 or more.
Guided tours from June till September Audio Guides - are available for hire at the Gustav Klimt Center for those preferring to embark on individual walks along the Gustav Klimt Artist Trail. Let Klimt himself give you an up close and personal tour through his beloved holiday destination!
