Regulations for means of transport

  • When motor vehicles are used jointly by persons who do not live in the same household (e.g. car pools), an FFP2 mask must be worn.
  • An FFP2 mask must be worn in mass transport vehicles and in closed rooms inside associated stations, platforms, stops, etc., as well as in taxis, taxi-like operations and school transport.
  • The use of coaches and excursion boats in occasional transport is only permitted with a 2G certificate and an FFP2 mask must be worn in closed rooms.
  • Cable and rack railways may only be used by persons who do not require the cable or rack railway for occupational purposes or to cover necessary basic needs of daily life with a 2G certificate. An FFP2 mask must be worn in closed or coverable means of transport (gondolas, cabins, coverable chairs) as well as in the associated stations.

The following applies specifically to skiing:

  • Cable and cogwheel railways may only be used by persons who do not require the cable or cogwheel railway for occupational purposes or to meet necessary basic needs of daily life with a 2G certificate. An FFP2 mask must be worn in enclosed or coverable means of transport (gondolas, cabins, coverable chairs) as well as in the associated stations.
  • The obligation to wear an FFP2 mask or a mouth-nose protection does not apply to children up to the age of six; from the age of six to 14, a mouth-nose protection is sufficient.
  • Children up to the age of twelve do not need a 2G certificate.
  • For not fully vaccinated and not recovered children of school age (from 12-15 years, born after 31.08.2006), a Corona Test Pass ("Ninja Pass") or the "Holiday Ninja Pass" is equivalent to a 2G certificate. The "Holiday-Ninja-Pass" is valid for Austrian pupils as well as for school-age holiday guests from abroad. Three tests must be carried out within a period of five days, at least two of which must be PCR tests. Within these five days, a valid negative test result must be consistently available (PCR tests are valid for 72 hours, antigen tests for 48 hours). With this regular testing rhythm, the test pass is also valid as 2G certificate on the sixth and seventh day. The test results are to be entered in the "Holiday Ninja Passport", the test proofs are to be carried (analogue or digital) together with the "Holiday Ninja Passport" and a photo ID. Examples for test rhythms: Day 1 antigen test, Day 2 and Day 4 PCR test or Day 1 antigen + PCR test and Day 3 PCR test or Day 1 (before arrival) PCR test, Day 4 antigen test and Day 5 PCR test. The "Holiday-Ninja-Pass" can be downloaded and printed out before arrival. We recommend to enter a negative PCR test result already before arrival, as this will be needed at the check-in in the accommodation (and not fully vaccinated as well as not recovered children and adolescents already need a negative PCR test result at the entry).
  • Adolescents over 15 years of age (born before 01.09.2006) require a 2G certificate just like adults.
