This is how you get to the Almtaler Haus in Grünau im Almtal:

We recommend that you travel by public transport!
by train:

from Wels station take the Almtalbahn (line 153) to Grünau im Almtal; numerous connections from Wels station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101)

by bus: OÖVV bus line 533 Almsee - Grünau - Gmunden - bus stop Almtal Habernau (approx. 6 km walk to Almtaler Haus)

Arrival at car park at junction Habernau/Jagersimmerl 13:45, 14:15, 14:45, 15:15, 15:45

By Traunstein Taxi Route 60 from Grünau station to the Jagersimmerl stop, call the taxi office at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 1691 or order on the otaxi app.

By bike: Cycle route R11 Almtalradweg from Wels into the Almtal valley to the Hetzau turn-off in the direction of Almtalerhaus.

On foot: From the centre or station of Grünau im Almtal, you can take a leisurely hike along the Almuferweg "Genuss am Almfluss" via Cumberland Wildpark to Almsee!

By car: Westautobahn A1: Vienna - Voralpenkreuz-A9 - exit Ried/Tr. - Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - Scharnstein - Grünau Westautobahn A1: Munich - Salzburg - Regau - Gmunden - Scharnstein - Grünau InnkreisautobahnA8 Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz A9 Pyhrnautobahn - exit Ried/Tr. - Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - Scharnstein - Grünau From the centre of Grünau follow the main road in the direction of Almsee, car park at the Hetzau turn-off.

Please use the free shuttle bus service between Almtaler Haus and the Habernau/Jagersimmerl junction!

Please note the limited number of parking spaces in Hetzautal and at Almtalerhaus. Please park only in the designated and permitted spaces!
