Aigen-Schlägl with the Premonstratensian monastery is the spiritual and cultural centre of the Šumava region and is internationally renowned for the high-quality organ concerts in the collegiate church.
The famous Bärenstein at 1077 m is a popular excursion destination and place of power with a breathtaking view of the Vltava reservoir in the Czech Republic. The show pools on the Schwarzenberg Alluvial Canal are a centre of attraction for young and old beyond the national borders.
