Zwischenstromwiese

Weitersfelden, Oberösterreich, Österreich

The two rivers, the white and black Aist, flow together below the Weitersfelden market and form the Waldaist. The white Aist has a light colour, the black Aist has a dark colour. The source of the Waldaist is also known as the Zwischenstromwiese. It is the perfect place to take a break and enjoy a few quiet minutes on a wooden lounger while watching the natural spectacle of the white and black Aist flowing together.

The Zwischenstromwiese is also the 6th station of the well-known St John's Way(www.johannesweg.at) with the following saying: "Do not exalt yourself and do not speak disparagingly of others - sooner or later it will fall back on you."
