From the viewing platform with panorama board you have a marvellous view over the Mühlviertel.

The branch church of St Michael is located exactly on the watershed of the two European river systems of the Danube and Vltava/Elbe.

- Its predecessor is the only wooden church in the German-speaking world that can be reconstructed to date, probably dating from the 11th century.
- Romanesque choir tower church with a square ground plan, destroyed by the Hussites in the 3rd decade of the 15th century.
- Two-aisled Gothic new building with 4 bays completed in 1520.
- 1522 late Gothic wing altars in the "Danube style" from the Freistadt altar workshop of Lienhart Krapfenbacher.
