Trails in operation:

Experience the snow-covered hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel in all its splendour.

The following trails are available in Hirschbach:

Trial trail: particularly suitable for beginners (3.5 km - family and children's trail - easy)

Inn trail: leads to all 5 inns in the municipality of Hirschbach and through small forests (7.5 km - family trail - easy)

Herb trail: along the herb fields, past the herb processing plant, leads through small forests (9.5 km - family trail - medium)

Floodlit trail: classic and skating approx. 1.5 to 2 km at the Hirschbach sports ground; Tue and Fri from 6.00 - 8.00 pm; contribution towards costs: € 2.00; information about operation from Ewald Pirklbauer, Tel: +43 (0) 664/8430942 (1.5 to 2 km)

Herb trail: Bergkräutergenossenschaft (and at the inns when they reopen)
Inn trail: at all inns
Trial trail and skating trail: GH Pammer in Guttenbrunn

Floodlit cross-country skiing at the Hirschbach sports ground:
Monday and Friday 7.00 - 9.00 pm, depending on snow conditions
Fee: € 1.50,--
Free for sports club members

Accessibility / arrival

Arrival by car:
From Linz via the A7 (Mühlkreis motorway) towards Prague/Freistadt as far as Unterweitersdorf, then turn left after the end of the motorway (towards Prague/Freistadt) and continue on the B125 to Freistadt. In Freistadt turn left towards Bad Leonfelden (B38). After approx. 1 km, turn left again towards Hirschbach.

Travelling by train:
Take the train from Linz main station, change there to the Linz-Summerau line, get off at Trölsberg (train station near Freistadt).
