Experience school history up close - right in the centre of Bad Leonfelden. The OÖ. School Museum is located in one of the oldest preserved former school buildings in Upper Austria and is one of the focal points of the Upper Austrian museum landscape.
The museum welcomes its guests with the words "15 DOMUS DISCIPLINAE 77" and you are right in the centre of school history, which stretches back up to five centuries. On a guided tour, visitors can discover the museum and listen to the interesting facts about the history with a great deal of commitment from the volunteers. The highlight is always the school class, which transports visitors directly back in time with original furnishings - if you want to top it off, take part in the "historical school lesson", in which a "schoolmaster" appears in original dress.
Those who want to explore the museum on their own can immerse themselves in history during opening hours using the available tablets and the corresponding QR codes. The museum is always open on Tuesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, but guided tours are possible all year round by appointment.
