Goisern Classic

The Goisern Classic is one of the few mountain time trials that still exist in Austria with classic cars. Every year, around 200 vehicles come to take part in this unique event.

Goisern Classic

The Goisern Classic is a special mountain time trial for historic vehicles that attracts driving enthusiasts from different countries. Participants from the Salzkammergut, Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and other nations take part in this unique event. The route leads from the picturesque market square in Bad Goisern up to the Predigtstuhl, 450 metres above sea level.

The 6.5-kilometre route is peppered with numerous bends and crosses two bridges, putting driving skills to the test. It is important to emphasise that the Goisern Classic is not a race in the conventional sense. Rather, the focus is on flair and driving skills. In two scoring runs, the aim is to keep the time difference between the first and second run as small as possible.

This fascinating event is organised by the Lasern volunteer fire brigade, which ensures that everything runs smoothly. The Goisern Classic combines motorsport with the challenge of moving a historic vehicle precisely and skilfully and offers an exciting atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
